RoaR!!!

Sometimes you gotta let loose and let it loose! That is the tiger within of course!
This is my friend Jen cheking email at my computer. Jen thinks the email, and the internet are direct spawns of satan! Thus the roar of frustration. Either that or Jen was practicing her pirate alphabet..."Arrrrrrrr"!!

One is the loneliest number

I came upon this tree on the commute to work in Port Sydney Ontario. It struck me as a very lonely tree on this particularly wet and gusty day. However, in reality, this tree is anything but lonely. With all the tourists and visitors this tree gets it's hard to believe there are no carvings or declaring young vibrant love adorning the trunk bark! Port Sydney is home to many year round and summer camps; hosting thousands upon ten's of thousands of visitors per year. Weddings in the summer crouched along the river bank for family photographs. Children running, climbing, and flocking the hillside. Father & son casting their luck to see who will catch the biggest fish from the overhanging bridge. This tree has definitely had more than its fair share of un-loneliness!

More than young at heart!

This shot was taken last summer at my nephew's birthday party. These three girls were being given a wheel barrel ride from one of the fathers. As this father pushed the three they broke out in laughter. You know that deep rich laugh that comes right from the gut? Well that was the sound you heard ringing out across the acreage. And I couldn't help but remember a time when I did the same. When life held less responsibility, and cares. When Daddy's sound effects to a rolling wheel barrel caused uproarious laughter from all who observed!
Ahhh....the good ol' days!
